On my daily scroll through my blogroll I found a great post on Ms. Sakamoto’s blog about the Fun Theory (originally a great contest held by Volkswagen). All of the original ideas are great and the concept is really interesting. I wonder what sorts of things I would be compelled to do if I could make them fun.
I’d like to think that for the most part I try and make things fun and that our general approach to teaching English at our office is much more fun based than most, even if we are just teaching elementary schoolers. While we do the basic repeat and repetition at the beginning we quickly switch into game mode and they learn the vocabulary for the purpose of winning the game. So I suppose that’s the fun theory in practice?
Does anyone else have any ideas of using the fun theory in public elementary schools?
